  1. Students personalize their Field Notebooks, adding
  2. Students complete the Pre-Launch Vocabulary - What do I know?
  1. Teachers prepare name tags for students and number cones 1-6 for gym groups.
  2. Communicate with support staff about their roles and schedules.


Launch- Rotation Day - January 7

A. Write group Numbers on students hand. Each student has a name tag.

B. Whole Group meet in gym in teams with Field Notes at 8:50-9:10am and sits with group around a numbered cone.

C. 6 Rotations

Post-Launch Reflection Questions


A. Discuss yesterday using Reflection Questions possibly creating Sociogram.

  1. Empathy -
  2. Perspective/Influence -Turn and talk about a time when you have influenced someone positively. Describe a time when you feel you had a different perspective (P.O.V.) than someone else. What happened?
  3. Trade/Power - How are trade and power connected? At this point in your learning - who do you believe had the most power in the fur trade (Aboriginal or Settlers)? Why?
  4. Competition - What effect does competition have on relationships?
  5. Cooperation - Why do we use cooperation? How do you practice cooperation. Use a sociogram to explore how cooperation is linked to the other key words.
  6. Integration - What do you still wonder about integration?
